On 21 july 1969 lift was open. The capacity of the old cable was only for 15 people. The old cabin during the war was hit with enemy positions and eventually directly affected and destroyed. People are continue with reconstruction and restoration of Dubrovnik lift, which would after 20 year break, 1 july should bring back the tourists on the Srđ.
